Today’s Ryukyu glass has evolved significantly in its raw materials and techniques, and in 1998 it was certified as a traditional craft of Okinawa Prefecture. It continues to develop day by day with Okinawa as a traditional craft item representing Okinawa and as an art item that blends into everyday life.

Our glass is “soda glass”, and the main raw material is sand called “silica sand”.
It is made by mixing “soda” and “limestone”.
In addition, the glass cullet (glass pieces) produced in the manufacturing process is also recycled as one of the important raw materials by mixing it with the prepared raw materials.
The raw material put in the melting furnace of the melting furnace is completely melted overnight at a high heat of 1,360 ° C and becomes a molten glass. After that, it is molded into the required shape to make glass products.
